Ritchey Clubhouse

Ritchey Clubhouse is named after the first residents of Docks At Caney Creek, Darla and Kenneth Ritchey. Kenneth was the first Association president and served tirelessly to transition the community from the original developer to a property owner-controlled subdivision.  The clubhouse is a rustic style community center with well appointed kitchen, great room and fireplace.  Additionally, it has a walk-around covered porch integrated into a rear deck that overlooks a beautiful cove on the main river channel.  The annual property owners meeting is held in the clubhouse and it is available for use by residents for special events (see FAQ page for additional info).  Due to low utilization, Ritchey Clubhouse is closed-down and winterized annually between mid-November and mid-April; there is no water service during this period.  As Docks at Caney Creek continues to add residents, this shutdown will be re-evaluated to address any rising needs for off-season usage.

Swimming Pool

The Docks at Caney Creek community pool is operated generally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting.  The pool is no monitored and does not furnish life guards, thus swimmers do so at their own risk.  Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied and closely supervised by an adult parent, guardian or sponsor member at all times.  The pool is adjacent to Richey Clubhouse which contains restrooms, changing rooms and showers for pool users.  The pool is professionally maintained and undergoes routine health inspections by Roane County inspectors.  An outdoor gas grill is available for clubhouse and pool users, along with pool furniture.

Tennis Courts

There are two fenced tennis courts (visible to the right as you enter the subdivision) available for residents’ use.  The courts can be lighted at night for late evening usage.

RV Lot

Docks at Caney Creek has an enclosed RV Lot for storage of RVs, boats and utility trailers and other vehicles not permitted to routinely park in the subdivision.  It is secured with a combination padlock; however, the lot is not monitored by the Association, so Residents’ usage of the RV Lot is strictly at their own risk.  The Association assumes no liability for loss or damage of any items stored in the RV Lot.  See the FAQ page for more information on usage of the RV Lot.

Boat Docks

The Docks at Caney Creek ‘Boat Docks’ contains a total of 36 slips that can accommodate up to a 26 foot watercraft. Tucked away off the main channel in a cove off Watts Bar Lake, your watercraft will be protected from the wear and tear of channel debris. Most slips have access to water year around and 26 are covered. Limited parking is available close to the docks from within the gated community. Dock maintenance is overseen by a dock committee, appointed by the POA board. Homeowners are able to purchase a slip license on an as-available basis.
